The Scope R3 is a high-performance, tubeless ready road wheelset which performs best in the mountains and on challenging terrain. The Scope R3 is our lightest road wheelset, weighing in at just 1,440 grams for the rim brake version. Due to its light weight, the R3 accelerates and climbs very well, yet is also comfortable enough to tackle even the roughest cobbles. As a result of an extensive engineering process and the use of high-end materials, the R3 wheelset provides you with an undisputed competitive edge. DEVELOPED TO PERFORM All Scope wheelsets are developed as a system. The hubs feature a characteristic wide flange distance and as such allow for an equal spoke tension. Combined with our road specific wide full-carbon rims the R3 offers a very high lateral stiffness, to minimize power loss and guarantee predictability and efficiency. The rim shape of the R3 is based on the findings of iteratively used computational fluid dynamics and efficiently reduces drag and negative crosswind influences. Tests have shown that the R3 outperforms the competition from other premium wheel brands while setting a new performance benchmark in its category. The tyre bed of the R3 is optimized for tubeless tyres and offers an internal rim width of 19mm. The wider rim allows for an increased diameter of the mounted tyre. As a result, a 25 mm tyre will have a diameter of 26mm. Additionally, the tyre will perfectly sit on the inner sidewalls of the rim. The Scope R3c, our rim brake version of the R3 wheelset, has a special braking surface which works best in combination with our Scope brake pads. The brake pads are developed in house and offer a powerful yet linear braking behaviour. Even in rainy conditions or the most challenging descents you’ll be able to effortlessly dose your riding speed.
